A great selection of vintage sweetheart brooches for you to choose from. Each is made of solid sterling silver and is a genuine memento from the past. Brooches like this were given by military men to their lady loves and so are known as sweetheart brooches. All are in first class condition .
A. Royal Army Medical £33. Made of solid sterling silver and enamelled with red, blue and green to of a splash of colour. It is stamped as silver on the reverse and it fastens with a strong C catch. This brooch measures about 1 1/8 inch long or just under 3 cms high. In first class condition with the enamel being perfectly intact. A chance to acquire a real bit of WW1 history.
B. Royal Navy £35. you don't see this one often. Enamelled in blue and white and made of silver , it is stamped as sterling on the reverse. 3.1 cms long or almost 1 1/4 inches
C. Royal Artillary badge £30
A soldier would have given this to his lady hoping that it would remind her of him whilst he was away on duty. It is written with "ubique quo fas et gloria ducunt" which is the Royal Artilary's motto. 3 cms across.
D. Royal Navy Pin £30 The anchor is suspended below the art deco style brooch here so that it has movement to the jewellery. A little over 1 ¼ inches top to bottom
E. Army Service Corps £30 . This is 2.8 cms high and made of solid silver. In great condition
