A choice of sparkling marcasite and silver vintage rings. Marcasites are sparking black gemstones which look a bit like diamonds in artificial light which is why they were so popular in the past. All are in excellent condition and quite wearable. The selection is:
A. Marcasite Hearts Ring
Heres an attractive ring which is from circa 1970s. The ring is made of silver and the head is set with six heart shapes and each heart has a glittering marcasite in the center. The shoulders of the ring have a Y shape going from the hearts to the shank. The head of the ring measures about 1.1 cms long and 1.2 cms wide. This is UK ring size L just under USA size 6. The inside of the ring is stamped as silver which will be solid sterling standard.
B. Art Deco Marcasite Ring
An original vintage ring from the art deco era. This ring is made of silver and it is set with marcasites. The head of the ring has a strong geometric design and is pierced through to give lightness to the piece. Original art deco pieces of jewellery like this are now quite collectable.
The head of this ring goes all the way across the finger and there are also marcasites set in to the shoulders. The head measures about 1cm wide or 3/8 inch. It is UK finger size P 1/2 or USA size 8. At some point in its life the ring has been re-size so I suggest that it is not changed again
C. Hexagonal Marcasite Ring
A ring from circa 1930s. This is nice as it has a pattern all the way around the shank and the shank divides into two before joining the head which is hexagonal shaped. Stamped as Silver it is UK finger size N. The head is about 1/2 an inch across.
D. Art Deco Ring size N
You will love the strong shape to this Art Deco ring. An original from the 1920s or 1930s.
E. Platinin Ring
This one is not silver but Platinin a white metal . The head is oblong and measures ½ an inch long. UK size O½
