black Opal oval gold brooch vintage 1980s
There is a super oval black opal set into this 9 carat gold brooch. The hallmarks date it to the 1980s. The opal is a doublet. A very collectable piece of vintage jewellery

 A lovely norwegian silver and enamel flower brooch made by Karl A Rasmussen in Norway. The enamel is in yellow and the silver has a gold gilt wash .This brooch measures about 6.6 cms long.
The reverse is impressed with the Rasmussen makers logo and also with " 925s Norway Sterling)

 A very pretty piece of antique jewellery. This brooch is made of silver ( stamped 900) and set with tiny turquoise cabachons . There is a seed pearl at the center of each floewr and the bird has tiny red glass eyes. What a wonderful vintage brooch to wear or to collect.
This measures about 4.5 cms long and fastens with a simple C catch. It dates from the Edwardian era and is a very exceptional piece of vitnage jewellery

 Here is a wedgwood blue jasper brooch sprigged with Cupid. The brooch is mounted in silver and comes in its original wedwood box. It measures about 3 cms diameter

 Art nouveau silver brooch antique

An antique art nouveau silver brooch set with a crystal in the form of a thistle. This brooch is stamped as sterling silver. This was most likely made by Charles Horner but is not marked as such. Dating from the early 1900s the brooch measures about 3 cms long.

 A stunning Castlecliff brooch dating from I believe the 1940s. This is made of silver ( sterling is impressed on the reverse). It is huge measuring about 9.5 cms long and 5.5 cms wide. This is in excellent wearable condition.

 A wonderful star burst silver brooch made by Anton Michelsen of Denmark. I presume that this vintage brooch was made during the 1960s / 1970s when start busts was high fashion ( just think of the star burst clocks which were made about that time. The start and central area have a light gold tint.

 A wonderful vintage silver brooch made by John Lauritzen of Denmark. I presume that this vintage brooch was made during the 1960s / 1970s. The bow brooch has a suspended bunch of grape which are articulated separately from the bow.

 This David Andersen silver brooch has a very modernists design. The silver brooch has been gilded gold and has also been enameled in white. The leaf measures a bit over 6 cms long.

 Made by John Hart and carrying both his makers marks and having Iona stamped into the reverse, this is a wonderful find. John Hart Iona silver is now highly sought after and a piece like this is certain to add style to any outfit. This vintage brooch if fully hallmarked and can be dates to 1967. It is set centrally with a real citrine which measures about 1 cm diameter. The brooch measures about 3.5 cms diameter

 Opal pearl brooch gold flowers

This gold brooch is really pretty. The flowers are set with real opals and pearls. The opals sparkle with colour. This brooch is made of fully hallmarked nine carat gold and dates from the 1980s. It measures about 3 cms diameter and is in really excellent clean condition.

 Robert Allison made silver jewellery in the Scottish Celtic tradition. Here is a shield shaped vintage brooch with the Robert Allsion makers mark and fully hallmarked for Glasgow 1952. This vintage brooch measures about 3.7 cms diameter

 Ruskin brooch in silver mount blue pottery cabochon

An original piece of arts and crafts jewellery. This Ruskin pottery cabochon is fully stamped as Ruskin Pottery on the reverse. The cabochon is in wonderful shades of blue and set in to a sterling silver mount ( impressed sterling silver). This Brooch will date from the earlier 1900s.

 This Scandinavian silver brooch was made by I Holth in Norway. This brooch is decorated with white enamel and a silver filigree overlay. The brooch has the makers stamp in the reverse and the brooch measures about 3.8 cms long

 Scottish silver brooch Osprey HM 1969

This Scottish silver brooch depicts an Ospray ( as written on the reverse) and is fully hallmarked for 1969. There is also a makers mark SS. This piece of vintage jewellery measures about 4 cms long

 An unusual silver brooch which is clearly designer made . It has a wonderful retro style which was popular when this brooch was made - hallmarked 1979. The brooch is set with a polished slab of amethyst. This brooch measures up to 4.5 cms wide. It is in excellent condition.

 This Brooch is in the traditional Luckenbooth form popular in Scottish Jewellery. It is made from fully hallmarked scottish silver and can be dated to 1971.
 The Luckenbooth design is probably the most romantic in the history of Silver smithing in Scotland. Said to have been designed as the betrothal brooch for Mary Queen of Scots from the Dauphin of France whom she married in 1558 hence the two hearts surmounted by the crown, the name derives from the “locked Booths” near St Giles in Edinburgh where the design was copied and sold for betrothal ( brooches were given instead of rings in those days) and later, when pinned to the baby’s shawl the Luckenbooth gave the child protection from Evil Spirits, Deamons and Wicked Faeries.

 This vintage brooch is made from silver and is in the shape of a leaf. The reverse reads "Sterling Denmark HS". HS will be the maker.  I believe that this brooch dates from the 1960s / 1970s. It measures about 4 cms long
