Minton and Hollins 8 inch tile classical Roman soldier

A rare 8 inch tile made by Minton and Hollins and featuring a Roman Soldier in a classical setting. This tile has the full manufacturers back grid. 8 inch victorian tiles are much rarer than 6 inch tiles, they were made for a shorter time than 6 inch tiles and date from circa 1880s.This tile has seen better days - the white patches are restoration and there are a few surface dings - a chance to acquire a rare antique at a bargain price.
