How much is Delivery? And how long will it take?

Postage and Packaging is included in the price shown on all Jewellery and smaller items. It is also included on all other items to the UK however heavier items shipped world wide will be charged the extra postage at cost.

My items are posted out at least 3 times every week (Mondays to Fridays only) and so your item will normally be posted within 2 working days of receipt of payment and always by the third working day. I will mail you to let you know when your item is on its way.

Do you have a customer satisfaction policy?

AntiquesAvenue wants customers to be 100% happy with their purchases and operates a no quibble returns policy ( see returns policy / complaints below) and free outward delivery on all items to the UK and on most items worldwide.

Are your items actually in stock?

Yes, this website is set to remove items from display as soon as they are sold.  Only very rarely is there more than one item available. Sorry but stock is not held at my office address and it is not possible to visit in person .

How can I pay?

I can accept most forms of payment. UK£, US$ and Euros are all taken :

- PayPal or Google Checkout

- Your Credit or Debit Card details can be entered into the Secure Server.

- Your Personal Cheque, Check , International Money Order or Postal Order

- Ring me with on 01604 457811 your Credit Card or Debit Card to purchase over the phone

Is my credit Card information secure?

Yes, the checkout on my site has a secure server which protects your information. You will see a little lock in the navigation bar which appears on the check out page. This is your guarantee of security. I do not see your financial details - these are kept secure by the payment service provider.

What is your return policy / complaints ?

My policy is quite simple - if you are not happy with an item please notify me within 3 days of receipt & then return within 10 days of receipt.  I will issue a full refund once it has been safely returned to me. You are responsible for the return postage unless the item is being returned due to an error on my part in which case I will also pay the return postage.

Retunrs should be made for by a service where I have to sign for the parcel on receipt, this protects you against any loss in the post as I can only refund once I receive the item back. Please note that if you return jewellery the Royal Mail will only cover your return parcel against loss or theft if you use Special Delivery.



How will my item be shipped?

All items are posted via my account with the  Royal Mail  Business Post -  "Special Delivery or "Signed For" to the UK and "International Signed For" to the rest of the World. Tracking numbers can be provided on all items.

Your item will be packed to the highest standards to ensure that it reaches you safely. All glass and pottery is packed in new bubble wrap and boxes. Jewellery items are places into a padded  card box before being packed into a new bubble envelope or Special Delivery pouch.

I need my gift urgently - Can you get it to me tomorrow?

The answer to this frequently asked question is 'Yes, Sometimes' so please ask. I am usually on the office phone number 01604 567811, if I am out then just call my mobile on 0779 4379519.

Can you tell me about the condition of an item?

I do not sell new items and as such there may be minor signs of age and normally would be in excellent vintage condition however if a piece is particularly rare or desirable I may occasionally offer an item in fair or poor condition . Any defects should be mentioned in the description and if there is no condition description against an item it is guaranteed to be in excellent condition or your money back for safe return of the item.

How accurate are your weights, measurements & dating of items?

Weights and measurements are approximate and offered as a guide only. You can certainly expect any measurement to be accurate within 1/8 inch and any weight to within 1 gram.

Dating of hallmarks, registration marks and manufacturers marks should be accurate. Items without manufacturers markings are dated using my knowledge, experience and vast reference library - this is subjective and done to the best of my ability. There can always be discussion about the dating of such pieces and I accept that it is possible for me to make the occasional error. 

If you are in any way unhappy with the weight, measurement or dating of any item you receive from me it can be returned for a full refund. Please notify me  of your intention to return within 7 days of receipt.

Can you value my item for me or tell me more about it?

Sorry but due to the large number of requests I can no longer assist with providing a value of your own items. Also I do not usually wish to purchase stock from private individuals.
