These two bachelor buttons are both fronted in sterling silver . The two leavers at the sides depress to allow the back to be removed. These buttons do not need sewing into place hence the term bachelor buttons.

2 victorian silver buttons with Chester hallmarks 1899
A pretty pair of antique silver buttons which are fully hallmarked for Chester 1889. The buttons are also impressed with the makers initials "CS*FS". Each silver button measures about 1.6 cms diameter. These silver buttons are in excellent condition
A superb set of antique buttons made by E M Paris. These buttons date from the early 1900s and are in the then fashionable art nouveau style. The design on these button is enameled in black with a flower pattern. Each button measures about 2.5 cms diameter . The enamel on all of these 5 buttons is in excellent condition.

6 button set mother of pearl boxed A lovely boxed set of six mother of pearl buttons with a gilt finish. These come with their own keepers. The buttons and the box are in really lovely condition. I think they have never been used. The buttons measure about 1.2 cms diameter
An amazing set of 8 vintage enamel buttons dating from the early 1900s - see the art nouveau influence in the design at the corners? These are made of gilt metal - possibly silver gilt but it is not possible to test this without damaging the gold colour. Each button measures about 1.5 cms diameter and all are in excellent condition.
Here is a matching pair of fully hallmarked Edwardian silver buttons with a Griffin design - or at least its a winged lion. These can be dated to 1903. Each button measures about 1.5 cms diameter and they are in excellent condition

Here is a set of 6 satsuma pottery buttons which date from circa 1920s. There are all painted with a water wheel pattern and are all in excellent condition. Each button measures about 2.5 cms diameter

Condition: excellent vintage condition - perhaps unused
This set of vintage buttons comes complete in its original box and the buttons all have keepers. These are made of gold toned metal and the fronts are set with mother of pearl and a tiny seed pearl in the center. Each button measures about 1.3 cms diameter. One of the keepers is a replacement but as these are never seen I dont think that really matters.
