Jewellery set with butterfly wing was most popular during the art deco era. Here is a choice of pendants which are made of silver and set with these lovely iridescent wings under glass. It is the bright blue which is so attractive and seems unique to this type of gem. No live  butterflies were harmed in the making of these pieces they were taken once the insects had passed naturally.  They are all in excellent condition .Please choose from:

 

A. Double sided pendant £30

This is a pendant on chain with the decorative part being set with Butterfly wing under a painted beach scene. Unusually for this type of jewellery there picture is on both sides of the necklace. The pendant part is about 3/4 inch long or 2 cms. It is hanging from a matching  16 inches long.The pictures are in great condition but there is slight fading to the surround and this has been taken into account when pricing. Silver tone metal.

This elongated drop pendant has a beach scene in it. It is made of silver and carries the TLM makers initials. There is a pretty flower on the hanging loop. The drop is almost 2 inches tall.

C. Bright Blue Pendant £45 .

The beautiful blue in this piece of jewellery is undecorated and it simply shines with natural colour. It is mounted in silver and has a plain back. It is 2.9 cms or a bit over 1 inch high plus the hanging loop .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

D. Colourful Pendant £40

A lovely round pendant with is set with colourful wing under glass. This is all mounted in silver and measures 2 cms across.

 

 

 

 

E. TLM Beach Scene £40

This one is stamped TLM on the reverse for the maker T L Mott, these are generally regarded as the best maker of this type of gem.  It is charm sided at 5/8 inch high

 

 

 

 

 

 

F. Crinoline Lady Pendant £45 

Set in silver this pendant features a crinoline lady who is carrying a bunch of flowers. It is just under 1 inch diameter and the chain is about 25 inches. An original piece from circa 1930s.
