A collection of stylish antique stick pins set with turquoise stones. This pieces of Gents jewellery will date from the 1800s and early 1900s. I will provide a new keeper for each of these stick pins so that they stay in place on your clothing. Turquoise is one of the more collectable gemstones because the colour is so attractive.
A. Turquoise pearl Stick Pin
Now this is a lovely old stick pin which you will enjoy wearing. It has a baroque shaped turquoise matrix which has been bound with gold wire as the finial. Just below this there are two pearls each of which are on gold wires standing out from the pin. I presume that these sit over the fabric to stop it pushing too far into the cloth.
The pin is stamped as 9ct. This piece of gentleman's jewellery will date from the early 1900s when turquoise and pearls were a popular combination. It measures about 6.5 cms long or around 2 1/2 inches
B. Arts & Crafts Stickpin
A good looking stick pin from the arts and crafts movement . There is a central real turquoise stone and surmounting this there is a leaf and berry shape all set into silver.
The shapes and workmanship suggest that this was craftsman made as was usual for arts and crafts pieces.
The head of the pin is 1.4mm long.
C Double Turquoise Pin
A bit different in that this is two pins joined together by a length of chain. The first one has turquoise and pearls set into a flower shape mounted in gold. The smaller in has a simple gold head. The flower shape is just 8 mm across.
D. Turquoise Knot Stick Pin £45
A cute 9ct gold stick pin . This is in the shape of a knot with a turquoise middle. The knot is just over 1 cm wide and the pin 5 cms long in total . Probably from the Edwardian era.
