Antique Tiles: Victorian Tiles, Majolica Tiles, Flower tiles - All originals for the collector or Period Home.

Tiles dating from Georgian Delft through to the 1980s. Victorian Tiles : series tiles, flower tiles, picture tiles and tiles from the great manufacturers including Wedwgood and Mintons. Art Nouveau majolica tiles and 20th century tiles from Packard and Ord through to the Maw Tile panels of the 1970s and 1980s. These were often made by the best biggest names in tile production including Minton, Minton & Hollins, Copeland, Wedwood and Maw. The designers included John Moyr Smith, William Wise,Walter Crane,Thomas Allen and Kate Greenaway amongst others. All the tiles are genuine antiques. Please click on a picture below to view the selection of tiles for sale

A highly desirable tile made by Maw & co and dating from circa 1880. This has a high majolica glaze. What a wonderful grotesque dolphin / fish character!

Condition: Excellent clean condition, no chips & no wear to the glaze but there is some clean glaze crazing

Here is a large and stunning art pottery tile pannels dating from the later 1800s and signed by the artist Lily C Thurgood. It features fox gloves painted in thick barbotine work.

Approx Size: 12 x 17½ inches!

Condition:
This in very good antique condition. There are no chips to the pottery. The fox glove panel has a flake to the paint work to the upper left corner.
Due to the size and weight of this item it is for sale to the UK mainland only

A nice old Victorian wall plaque featuring three classical ladies and a cherub. I think these are the 3 Graces with Cupid? The plaque has an antique white coloured majolica glaze. The plaque will date from the later 1800s. The reverse has custom made holes which can be used to hang this piece on a wall. The plaque measures 26 cms diameter.There is some glaze crazing otherwise in excellent condition.
