Lovely antique rings from the early 1900s . I have a separate collection of Victorian rings you can look at too. All the rings here are genuine older pieces not newer than the 1930s. These are all made of gold or silver.

A lovely antique ring which will date from teh early 1900s. This ring is stamped inside the shank as "Gold shell", gold on the outside. It is set with three seed pearls. The head of this ring is about 6mm wide. It is UK finger size N, USA size just over 6.75. Due to its construction this ring is not suitable for re-sizing.

The snake ring was popular in the Victorian era as the Snakes: Mean “Eternity”. Prince Albert gave Queen Victoria an engagement ring in the form of a snake. As always in the Victorian era, anything that Queen Victoria did became high fashion

An exquisite piece of Georgian jewellery. This ring is from the early 1900s and is now about 200 years old. The ring test as 18 carat gold - it is normal for a ring of this age not to be hallmarked. The head of this piece of Georgian jewellery is set in a flower pattern with pearls round the edge and a central green paste stone. Behind the head is a glass covered locket compartment containing a small plait of hair. The head of the ring is about 8mm across. UK finger size H.5 or just over USA size 4. I never recommend resizing a ring of this age.

There are full hallmarks for nine carat gold inside this ring however I can read them its is also stamped 9ct which indicates a date in the later 1800s or early 1900s.
