Beautiful paste set jewellery which really sparkles and shines. Each of these pendant necklace is made of silver and pastes. They are really lovely. Paste was an early diamond imitation, far superior to glass and something which is only found in antique jewellery. I've written an article on paste jewellery which may be of interest.
A. Paste Drop Necklace
A very pretty necklace which is made of solid silver and set with sparkling paste stones. The final drop will hang at 18 inches long. Each stone is around ¼ inch across and so is a good size.
B. Round Paste Pendant
A truly stunning antique paste pendant. The pendant is circular in shape around the outside is a row of paste stones with leaf shapes between. There is an inner circle smaller but other wise the same which appears to be suspended within the middle. This is topped by a bow shape which is independently hinged from the circle.
There is a European silver stamp on the reverse of the pendant. It hangs from a long decorative link chain. This lovely piece of jewellery is from the earlier 1900s probably 1910 to 1920. The pendant is about 2 inches or 5 cms long with the chain being around 27 inches or 68 cms
C. Mabe Pearl Paste Pendant
This silver pendant has a Mabe pearl in the middle and 8 pastes set around the outside. It is made of silver and set on a matching 18 inch rope twist chain. It is just over an inch wide . This is from the early 1900s, around 100 years old.
