The lovely vintage necklaces here each have two rows of cultured pearls. Pearls that have been grown inside oysters with a little help from man. They are in excellent wearable condition .
A. Necklace with Marcasite clasp.
A nice long necklace with the pearls graduated front to back . The strands are 22 inches long and 20 inches on the shorter one. The clasp is solid silver and set with marcasites. This is from circa 1930s to 1950s and in lovely condition. All the pearls are individually knotted onto the strings which is the best for this type of necklace
B. Necklace with Diamond Clasp
This has a 19 inch and a 16 inch strand of pearls each of which are nicely knotted onto the strings. The clasp is pure Art Deco - white gold with a real diamond in the middle. To open the clasp you press the tiny leavers together. This can be a little stiff but is fully operational. The pearls are graduated with the largest at the front being 7mm
C. 18 inch Pearl Necklace
A very attractive cultured pearl necklace which has a silver and marcasite clasp. The longer length is 18 inches. The pearls are graduated front to back with the largest being 8mm and the smallest 4mm. In lovely clean condition.
D. 17 Inch Pearl Necklace
This pretty pearl necklace has two strands and fastens with a paste set 935 silver clasp. This is an older piece of jewellery from between the 1910s and 1930s. There is also a safety catch. The longer length is 17 inches and the shorter 16.
